Professional Background
Gavin has held several positions with the Cayman Islands Government during his career, including 10 years as an Immigration Officer and subsequently as a Senior Trade Officer for the Department of Commerce & Investment. Prior to HSM, he was Crown Counsel for a substantial period at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Gavin’s prior experience enables him to look at legal issues from different perspectives. Gavin works alongside HSM Senior Associate Alastair David in handling contentious immigration matters and appeals.
