The Falkland Islands does not have its own trade mark law so is not possible to register a trade mark in the Falkland Islands directly. The only way to obtain protection for a trade mark is by filing a United Kingdom (UK) trade mark application. UK registrations automatically provide protection in the Falkland Islands with effect from the date of the underlying registration.
